With Junko Shutou Direct from Osaka, Japan
February 13-14, 2027 • Hyatt House Orlando Airport • Orlando, Florida
For the First Time in Over 10 Years
Join us for a rare opportunity to study directly with Junko Shutou, one of the leading practitioners and teachers of the Tanioka Family tradition of Shonihari Pediatric Acupuncture from Osaka, Japan.
For four generations, the Tanioka family has preserved and refined a unique approach to pediatric acupuncture rooted in gentle touch, palpatory diagnosis, non-invasive treatment techniques, and deep respect for the natural development of children.
This seminar offers a rare chance to experience this living lineage tradition directly from one of its current representatives and active daily practitioners.
A Living Clinical Tradition
Located in Osaka, Japan, the Tanioka Family Clinic has welcomed children and families for generations. The clinic remains an active center for Shonihari and Taishi Hari practice, where pediatric patients are treated daily using specialized non-insertive techniques developed and preserved within the family lineage.
Visitors entering the clinic immediately encounter a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Children play comfortably while awaiting treatment, and families return year after year seeking care that is both gentle and remarkably effective.
This tradition emphasizes not only technique, but relationship, observation, touch, rhythm, and presence.
The treatment philosophy is simple:
Meet the child where they are. Listen carefully. Touch gently. Help the body remember balance.

Why This Seminar Is Different
Many acupuncture seminars teach techniques.
Few provide direct access to a living family lineage.
This seminar offers the opportunity to study with a practitioner who continues to use these methods every day in clinical practice, within the same family tradition where they have been refined and transmitted for generations.
The emphasis is not merely on what points to use.
The emphasis is on developing the practitioner’s hands, sensitivity, perception, and ability to interact skillfully with children and families.
These are skills that cannot be learned from books alone or in online seminars.
Who Should Attend?
This seminar is appropriate for:
- Licensed Acupuncturists
- Students of Acupuncture
- Japanese Meridian Therapy Practitioners
- Pediatric Acupuncture Practitioners
- Toyohari and Hari Practitioners
- Anyone seeking to improve palpatory and diagnostic skills
No prior experience with Shonihari is required.
